I don't get much time crafting any more, so I show some oldies instead. This bag is made using pleats to get it 3D. There is more space in a bag that is not just flat, and there are different ways to add more space. Pleats adds space in the bag, but uses a lot of material. But it's an easy way to start, if you don't know much about patterns etc.

This bag is made using a very easy technique. The bottom of the bag has a wider circumference than the top bit. Before I stitched them together I just stitched on the top of the fabric with the longest stitch length, then I pulled one of the threads to create an even row of pleats. And voila, more space is gained!
